We are a small team of driving instructors covering areas between Cobham, Horsley, Leatherhead, Esher and Surbiton. We cover tests at Guildford, Tolworth and Chertsey test centres. Our instructors are all fully qualified, insured, DBS (formerly CRB) checked and approved by the DVSA.
Our aim is to develop safe driving for life and not to just pass a test. We make our lessons as enjoyable as possible by being patient and relaxed when teaching. We work on a high pass rate, which is way above the national average.
Most of our work comes from personal recommendations.
We teach in either Ford Fiestas or Citroen DS3 air-conditioned manual cars.

Why Choose Make The Grade?
At Make The Grade Driving School, we don't just want you to pass your driving test, we want you to become a safer driver.

We want you to feel 100% comfortable with your instructor, which is why all of our instructors are patient, calm and always approachable. We let all of our pupils learn at their own pace.
​
All instructors assigned will be local, so no late pick ups and each trainer will have good knowledge of the area.
All our instructors are regularly checked by a supervisor from the DVSA to make sure their standards are kept high.
Each lesson will be on a one2one basis. There will be no other pupils in the car at any time.

All pupils will receive a mock test before they take their practical driving test, to give them a good idea of what to expect on the day.
​
Our lessons are designed to provide you with a comprehensive driving experience including, driving in busy town centres, national speed limit dual carriage ways (max speed of 70mph) and country lanes.
